We made it!
Chris here... After a somewhat eventful passage, we made it to NYC safely and are ensconced in our slip at Liberty Landing Marina. We'll post more about the passage later - it will make for interesting reading I'm sure. For now, it's time to sleep!
Hey Guys, it was nice meeting you this morning, I know Delaney was happy to (briefly)talk to another girl her age. Hopefully all will go well and you will get outta Albany in short order! Hopefully we will cross paths this winter, preferably in the Exumas.
Take care, Mark, Lisa , Delaney and Mitchell MacLean
Nice trip up the coast. You and your family should be proud. That is a long haul in a short time. And I watched the weather after your posting on the cwswbb. I know it was snotty off the nj coast that night.
Sorry I can't help with your business issues, and frankly, I was a bit disappointed to have even read them. Your life on land seems pretty stable if you so choose. You may not be able to totally cast off your lines at this moment, but you are better able to in the future I'm sure. 40' Passports are in very few peoples future (mine included) never mind the present.
Take this for what it's worth. You are doing fine, even if you can't continue your "cruise".
If you'd like to contact us, send an e-mail to blogger@svpelican.com and we'll respond as soon as we can!

We're Chris (Dad), Kristen (Mom), Casey (Son - 12 years old) and Kaitlin (daughter - 8 years old). We've decided to take some time away from our land based lives to spend together as a family. Our home is in East Greenbush, NY - right across the Hudson River from Albany. We plan to cruise from December of 2008 to August of 2010, just in time for Casey to enter high school.
