Heading to Nassau

Chris here... today we motored over to Spanish Wells with Woody as our pilot again and tied up to a mooring here. At $15 a night, they are a bit less expensive than staying at the marina, plus the water is deeper over here so we shouldn't have to worry about getting out in the morning. We spent the afternoon watching the storms form and then dissipate to the west of us. We could have made it to Nassau today, but better safe than sorry. Tomorrow morning we're going to head out at around 8am-ish for the 46nm trip to Nassau. The only part we have to worry about (except for the 30-50kt squalls that are predicted) is the semi-shallow water just outside of Spanish Wells. I spoke with Woody and he showed me the path to take, so hopefully we'll be fine. We forgot to turn on the SPOT today for our short run, but we'll have it on for the motor to Nassau tomorrow (winds are supposed to be between zero and zero), so follow along by clicking the tracking link on the right hand side of this page.
